Focus on process goals
Many people trying to lose weight often set outcome goals, with a deadline in mind.
E.g. losing 10kg in 3 months…
Focusing only on the outcome can sometimes derail your motivation.
You can often feel too distant from your goals which leaves you feeling overwhelmed.
Instead, it’s important to consider the process goals and actions you have to take to get you to the end goal.
E.g. exercising 5 times a week.
This is something you can focus on daily/weekly without looking at the daunting 3 months ahead.
This ties in nicely with SMART goals.
E.g. I will exercise for 45 minutes, 5 times a week.
The process is what gets you there! True the process
